Instructional Designer

Mayonn divides her time between the Teaching and Learning Transformation Center and the College of Education. In her dual role, she partners with staff to develop innovative courses and programs and facilitates workshops to help instructors implement evidence-based teaching practices. She enjoys collaborating with subject matter experts to build content that engages, inspires, and moves people to action.

Before joining UMD, Mayonn led instructional design initiatives for various companies, including ZS Consulting and Acelero Learning. Her background includes early childhood curriculum design and elementary classroom instruction. She is the author of The Leopard Behind the Moon and a junior novel retelling of Marvel’s Black Panther

Mayonn holds an M.A. in Teaching and a B.A. in Psychology from Oglethorpe University.
