Jayna Resman

Math Learning Specialist

jresman@umd.edu

Jayna is a math educator and learning specialist who brings an equity-minded perspective to all aspects of her work. She hopes that math learning and coursework may function as a roadway – not roadblock – to student success. Her work at TLTC is informed by cross-campus partnerships with academic units, student affairs offices & student-led groups and includes programmatic development and individual academic coaching. Using a student-centered and strengths-based approach, Jayna collaborates with students as they navigate the systems and cultures of higher education.

Jayna has a M.A. in Teaching & Learning, Policy & Leadership specializing in Math Education from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Spanish Studies and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, reading, baking, and being outside!
