Marcia Shofner

Dr. Shofner is a Lecturer in the Department of Entomology, College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences. She has taught BSCI106 for over 10 years. She is interested in biology education research and invertebrate ecology, in particular the meiofauna groups. Dr. Shofner redesigned BSCI 106 - Principles of Biology II. BSCI 106 is a tradition lecture-based course with good interaction among the faculty teaching it, but little innovations over the years.  The course is ready for a redesign with active-learning strategies that will be available for the faculty to use if they are interested.
