A new semester, a new class, a new group of students – the abundance of novel information can be an overwhelming experience for everyone. To ease students into the initial moments of a new class many teachers employ icebreakers. Yet, not every icebreaker will foster the anticipated results of building a better rapport within the classroom. In addition, many students don’t see the value of these activities.
